"Step Into the Future"  first appeared as the campaign slogan
for "the '88 Beard..." run for the presidency in 1988.   It
became the dominant theme of the campaign,  There
were Sculpture Installations at various places, such as
the Broward Art Guild in Ft. Lauderdale.  GL appeared
with King Felix for Campaign speech presentations,
entitled "Step Into The Future", at Churchill's Hideaway,
Miami, Florida, and WLRN/FM radio.

One of the first "Step Into the Future..." Installations
appeared in GL's "Icons for the '90's..."
exhibition in 1989 at the Art & Culture Center,
Hollywood, Florida.  The intention was to address
both the pros and cons of the impending thrust
of Technology on Society that loomed on the
door step of the 21st century.  It took on both
humorous and political connotations,
leaving the viewer perplexed and confused on the sculptures meanings and intentions.   The
sculpture has later been set up at various
locations and configurations.   Now that we
are already in the 21st century, it seems
somewhat prophetic...........
